Postdoctoral Associate
The laboratory of Dr. Samira Kiani at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Pittsburgh Liver Research Center is looking for an outstanding, highly motivated, and self-driven postdoc candidate to join a collaborative research program on gene editing and bioreactor liver chip technologies.
Please see the detailed announcement at the following link: Kiani Post-Doc
POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS:
The laboratory of Dr. Samira Kiani is seeking a postdoctoral fellow with skills in molecular biology and synthetic biology who is interested in developing novel immuno-therapy tools. Successful candidates will adapt the CRISPR technology and intersect it with synthetic biology to develop controllable gene-based immune therapies
Desired Skills and Experience
Ph.D. in molecular biology or a related field. Experience in advanced molecular cloning techniques, including golden gate, gateway, Moclo and similar techniques are required; Applicants should have motivation and drive to work independently and creatively. Great organization skills, attention to details and ability to work within tight deadlines are required. GRADUATE STUDENTS (MASTER AND PHD STUDENTS):
We are looking for PhD students as well as Master students (for Thesis and Applied projects) in the area of regenerative technologies with the focus of developing controllable gene therapies. You will be a part of a big project which uses the CRISPR technology and regulates it through synthetic biology principles to generate control over this system for safer gene therapies. We accept applicants across different schools. If you know molecular cloning, are passionate about learning and establishing new techniques from scratch or comfortable working with mice, or eager to contribute your time to a high-risk high-reward project, please apply to Dr. Samira Kiani : [email protected].
